Luciana Oliveira
Luciana Oliveira is a full professor at ISCAP Porto Accounting and Business School (P.Porto, Polytechnic of Porto). She holds an MSc in Multimedia, a PhD in Communication and is a certified trainer in educational technologies. For more than thirteen years she was responsible for the teacher/student training in e-learning and pedagogy as well as for the management of educational systems/platforms in ISCAP and in other educational providers/organizations. Has been involved in several Erasmus+ and EEA and Norway Grants Fund projects aimed at developing hard and soft skills in young adults and NEET youth employment. Luísa Bravo Lamas
Degree in Social Work, PhD in Educational Sciences by Universidad Santiago de Compostela, focusing her research on Citizenship Education, a theme she had already developed in the Diploma of Advanced Studies at the Universidad de Valencia. Integrates as a researcher the CEI – Center for Intercultural Studies of ISCAP-P. PORTO. She is an invited senior lecturer at ISCIA – Aveiro and at UMUM in Mozambique.
She taught for nine years in Secondary Education in the Technological Course of Sociocultural Animation and for several years in Higher Education in Portugal and Cape Verde, in the areas of Educational Sciences and Social Sciences. Isabelle Tulekian
A graduate in Applied Foreign Languages, with a Masters in International Relations from the University of Nice (France) and a PhD in Translation from the University of Porto, Isabelle Tulekian is a professor at ISCAP-Polytechnic of Porto, where she teaches French Language and Culture and Translation. As a researcher and member of the Center for Intercultural Studies, she participates in several projects related to interculturality and migration issues.
Joana Maria Leitão Brocardo
Mathematics graduate (1979) by the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (FCUL), Master’s Degree in Education, specialization in Methodologies for Teaching Mathematics (1992), by FCUL, and PhD in Mathematics Didacticism (2002), by the same institution. She has been a professor at the Higher School for Education of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal since 1989, and a Coordinating Professor since 2003. She was the Director-General (2008-2009) and the Deputy Director-General (2006-2008) at the Directorate General for Curricular Innovation and Development. She advises several master’s degrees, PhDs, and post-doctorate works in the field of Mathematics Education, some of which have already been concluded. She has coordinated or participated as a team member in several research projects focused on the field of Mathematics Didacticism, with a particular highlight in the study of themes related to teaching and learning Mathematics for ages between 6 and 12 years old. She has also worked in the field of Curricular Development in Mathematics. She has participated in editing and directing several publications focused on teaching and learning Mathematics, with a particular highlight to her position as Director of the Quadrante Magazine, a research magazine in mathematics education, between 2012 and 2016.
Pedro Correia Rodrigues
Applied Biology graduate, Master’s Degree in Nature Management and Preservation, and PhD in Biology. He is currently finishing a second PhD in Sciences and Technology Didacticism – Specialization in Computerized Didacticism. He has been a Visiting Professor in ESE-P.PORTO, integrated in the Technical and Scientific Unit for Mathematics, Sciences, and Technologies, since 2015. He is a researcher at INED. His research interests in Sciences and Technologies Didacticism are focused on the use of microprocessors and sensors as epistemic tools in teaching Natural Sciences in Primary Education and for the Introduction to Programming and Robotics. His research interests in Ecology and Nature Preservation, primarily directed towards sea birds, relate to spatial ecology, distributions modelling, and remote tracking of several target species. Telma Cabral André

Helena Lopes Vieira da Fonseca
Mathematics graduate – Educational Field, from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Coimbra. Master’s Degree in Educational Sciences, in the Special Education field. Previously, she specialized in Data Analysis, in the Higher Institute of Viseu, which has allowed her to gain more knowledge in the field of statistics, dedicating herself to the self-evaluation of schools.
She has been a teacher since 1995 and, since 2011, she has been the coordinator of several self-evaluation teams. In the meantime, as a trainer, she has performed several training programs, of which two can be highlighted for their relevance: Curricular Goals in Basic Education – 2013, and Conception of Strategic Action Plans. Thus, she has performed the promotion and the follow-up for the implementation of the Curricular Goals in Basic Education (2013/14), for the group of schools where she taught (with guidance from FCUP). Later, she guided and accompanied the conception of Strategic Action Plans for several groups of schools in the Municipality where she taught, framed in the National Program for the Promotion of Educational Attainment (2015/16).

IOANNIS GRAPSAS

Ioannis Grapsas has studied Chemistry at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and continued his studies at Univeristé de Nancy I (France), obtaining D.E.A. in Organic Chemistry. He received his Ph.D degree in Chemistry in 1991 from the Agricultural University of Athens for his research on chemical synthesis of antibiotics. His research interests led him later to a 3-year academic stage at Wayne State University (U.S.A.), where he worked as a Research Associate in Bioorganic Chemistry. In recent years he followed a 2-year graduate studies programme at Open University of Greece, obtaining MSc. degree in Environmental Management (2015). He has published several papers in top international journals of Chemistry, e.g. Journal of the American Chemical Society, Tetrahedron, Journal of Organic Chemistry, etc.
Since 1994, he is a Science Teacher in secondary public schools in Athens, having taught classes of Chemistry, Physics and Biology. He has showed interest for lifelong learning, having taught for over 1,500 hours in teacher professional development courses and he has worked for 3 years as a Studies and Research Officer at the National Centre for Public Administration (EKDDA) with duties on professional development courses for public servants. He has been a lab and experiment enthusiast in science teaching and he has served for more than 6 years in positions promoting the integration of experiment and ICT methodologies in everyday teaching practices. He has also served as Head of upper secondary schools, completing a 5-year experience in administrative positions. He is co-author of official student notebooks and lab manuals and he has taken part in various official initiatives for updating and improving science curricula. Anastasia Vythoulka is a primary education, school teacher with a degree in Educational Sciences from the Department of Primary Education of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. Parisopoulou Evi is a chemist. She graduated from the Department of Chemistry of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1994 and has a master’s degree in “Organic Chemistry” (AUTh) and in the “Didactic of Chemistry Using Νew Τechnologies” (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens).
She holds a PhD from the Department of Chemistry of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in the Didactic of Chemistry with an emphasis on “Augmented Reality”, “The use of original and standard devices”, and “Educational Games”. She has been teaching in Secondary education for 27 years, from which the last 20 years in a private school in Thessaloniki, where she is also the head of the Sciences laboratory.
She was a mentor of the Greek Olympic Chemistry Team at the International Chemistry Olympiad. She has been awarded many times as a mentor of student teams, both in international and national competitions, such as “Science on Stage-Europe”, “Chemistry Rediscovered-European Young Chemists’ Network”, “IYNT International Young Naturalists’ Tournament”.

Dr. Panagiotis Giannakoudakis, BSc in Chemistry, BSc in Physics, PhD in Electrochemistry. Professor of Physical Chemistry – Electrochemistry and Director of Laboratory of Chemical Education and Application of Information and Communication Technologies in Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki/Greece.
He has 40 years of experience in electrochemistry, with emphasis on electrocatalysis, corrosion and electrode modification and 25 years in Chemical Education.

Margarita Defingou, a project manager in the Athens Lifelong Learning Institute. She has been awarded a MA in the Economics of Educational Planning from the University of Toronto, Canada and has been actively involved in the field of adult education since 1982, from various positions and in different fields of expertise, such as a Consultant of the Greek Minister of Education, a member of the European Bureau of Adult Education etc. She is a member of a number of professional bodies that are active in the field of adult education. Dervin also holds several distinguished and visiting professorships in Australia, Canada, China, Luxembourg, Malaysia and Sweden. In my degree, I have included an array of studies involved with migration, internationalisation of higher education, and language, culture and religiosity awareness – both in Helsinki and abroad. Recently I wrote my bachelor’s thesis oncultural competence in Finnish comprehensive schools, which highlighted multiple opportunities for creating more equitable classrooms.
Heidi Layne

Dr Heidi Layne has over 10 years of professional experience as a researcher and university lecturer in Finland and in Singapore. She has sound knowledge of Finnish education and teacher education system. Her research covers social context of education, global and sustainable education, teacher education and related fields. She gained her PhD in the Philosophy of Education from the University of Helsinki, Finland.
Dr. Layne currently is a University Lecturer in Sustainable and Global Education at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. Currently, besides this study, Dr. Layne is engaged in research projects on understanding everyday multiculturalism and transitions in education in Singapore and Finland.
Pigga Keskitalo

I have worked for a long period of time as a teacher educator at a Sámi university in Norway. Nowadays, I work on various development and research projects that address or focus on the role of the Sámi language and Sámi culture in teaching and education. I have also been involved in several projects that aim to develop a culture of teaching and schooling that support immigrant students. I am currently working as a researcher in an international research project investigating the agency and voice of children, focusing in particular on distance learning of the Sámi language.

Nina Ågren

I am a classroom teacher, and I am particularly interested in hands-on mathematics. I have e.g. developed a hands-on material book series Matsku, published by the Board of Education. I think it is important that everyone has an equal opportunity to learn mathematics, regardless of their linguistic skills. That is also an important principle in the Matsku textbooks I have developed, as well as in my own teaching. I have also been awarded with Technology Industry 100th Annual Foundation Incentive Award andOKKA Front scholarship for the development of mathematics teaching.
Susanna Toikka

My goal has always been to work on interesting and challenging tasks that support my professional development. My purposeful desire to learn and develop has driven me to this Augmented Assessment project, among other things. In addition to the project, I work on an in-service teacher training program in mathematics and do dissertation research on self-assessment skills and self-assessment. In the Augmented Assessment project, I have been fascinated by the fact that I have been able to benefit from the understanding I have gained from both my dissertation and my work on assessment, but I have also gained new insights from discussions with professional team members.

Elisa Repo

Elisa Repo (M.A.) is a doctoral researcher in applied linguistics and educational sciences at the University of Turku. Her doctoral thesis focuses on increasing linguistic diversity in school. Besides researching, Elisa has been working as a university teacher in the Department of Teacher Education, teaching courses on language-awareness, language learning, multilingualism, and language and literature pedagogy. Before, she has taught Finnish language in multilingual junior high schools in Finland and worked as a visiting scholar at the University of Hamburg in Germany and as a Fulbright FLTA at Indiana University in the USA. In 2022, Elisa works as a visiting scholar at the UC Berkeley, USA.
Dr Georgios Tsalakos
Dr Georgios Tsalakos is working at Cyprus Pedagogical Institute as a Teachers Trainer in Science. He has a Master Degree in Physics and a Ph. D. in Physics and Mathematics, from the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia, Moscow.
From 2002 to 2020 he has worked as a Physics teacher in Secondary Education and, partially, in Cyprus Pedagogical Institute for the In-Service Training Department and in Ministry of Education as a consultant for Physics.
He is participating in several programs of the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute related with Teachers’ professional development.
He has worked in European projects related with STEM-STEAM-STEAME education.
Every year he contacts several optional In-service Training Seminars.
He is the organizer of the monthly seminar “Teaching practices in the course of Physics in Secondary Education”, where active physics teachers present innovative teaching practices.
His educational research interests among others include: formative assessment in Physical Sciences courses in Primary and Secondary Education, experiment–based inquiry learning environments, project-based learning, interdisciplinary education and the integration of technology and video analysis in Science lessons.
Christina Sidera
Holds a BSc Joint Hons Chemistry and Biochemistry, from Imperial College London, where she also studied for her PhD in Biochemistry, specialising in Neurobiology. She has spent some years in research, through Post-Doctoral Fellowships at St George’s Hospital Medical School, where she also taught Biochemistry at the Medical School. She has also worked at the Cyprus Institute of Genetics and colaborated with the University of Cyprus Biology Department, as special teaching staff. She has been working for the Department of Secondary Education since 2005, having served at all levels of secondary education, teaching Biology. For a number of years, she has held a part-time post at the Pedagogical Institute Cyprus (CPI) where she has been involved in support programs (short and long term, pre-service and in-service), designed specifically for Biology teachers as well as teachers of other scientific disciplines, and has been offering training to teachers through relevant seminars at CPI. Christina Sidera has also supported schools for their professional development, through the program Professional Development Support, run by the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute. She has been actively participating in other EU-funded programs as well as programs run by the ministry of Education, Culture, Sport and Youth, adressing the teachers’ training and competence in the teaching of science to non-native speakers. She is currently still observing all of the above activities, to date.
Maria Tsierkezou
I have a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering (1988) and a Master’s degree (1989) on “Catalytic hydrogenation of Hydrocarbons”, both of which were obtained from the National Technical University of Athens.
For the past twelve years, I have been working as a Chemistry teacher in the secondary education with the public sector. Currently, I am teaching Chemistry at the Kolossi Lyceum, Limassol and I am also partly attached to the Ministry of Education as a consultant (2016 to date).
Dr. Irene Kleanthous
Dr. Irene Kleanthous completed her PhD studies in Mathematics Education at the University of Manchester in 2012. She is a holder of an MSc in Educational Research with Mathematics Education (2008) and a MEd in ICT in Education (2006) from the same university. She obtained her BA in Primary Education in 2005, from the University of Cyprus. Her doctoral studies were funded by the School of Education (University of Manchester) and the A.G. Leventis Foundation (Cyprus). She was involved in various research projects at the University of Manchester, where she worked as a Research Assistant for three years. Irene also worked as a Scientific collaborator at the European University of Cyprus, where she taught educational research methods and didactics of mathematics. She is currently working at the Centre for Educational Research and Evaluation (CERE) as a researcher and as a school teacher in primary education. She is coordinating the project Ellinomatheia, which measures immigrant students’ competence in Greek as an additional language, in all public primary schools of Cyprus. Finally, she is involved in developing test material in Mathematics for Year 3 and Year 6 students, for the literacy project run by CERE at a national level.
Dr.Christiana M. Christou
Christiana M. Christou holds a B.A. in Educational Sciences-Primary Education (University of Cyprus), a M.Ed. in Maths and Science Education (University of Birmingham) and a Ph.D. in Learning in Natural Sciences (Department of Educational Sciences, University of Cyprus). She currently works as a Primary School Teacher at local schools in Cyprus. She has been involved in European and other projects concerning innovative ways of teaching, technology enhanced learning and teachers’ professional development. She participated in various research studies in cooperation with European University of Cyprus and Cyprus Pedagogical Institute and contributed to their publication in international journals.
Yiola Palatou
Yiola Palatou is a teacher in primary education. She has worked in many European projects and has been a coordinator in several of them. She has collaborated with the Pedagogical Institute and Universities in many programs related to Mathematics and Literacy. She has big experience in technology utilization in the educational process. She has been an instructor in teachers training programs on the integration of technology and mobile devices, initially in Mathematics and later in the integration of augmented reality in all subjects.
Dr. Panagiota Konstantinou
Dr Panagiota Konstantinou completed her undergraduate studies in Mathematics at the University of Cyprus in 2001. She then continued her postgraduate studies in the US where she received her MSc and PhD in Mathematics from the University of Arizona in 2003 and 2006 respectively. During her PhD studies, her research focused on Geometric Topology. She then worked as a lecturer at Frederick University from 2006 to 2011. She has also frequently worked as an instructor for Quantitative Methods in the MidCarrier-MPA Summer Program at Harvard Kennedy School during past summer terms. Currently she is employed by the Ministry of Education in Cyprus teaching mathematics to high-school students as well as working on the curriculum development of mathematics for high school. Dr Konstantinou has participated in various research projects related to mathematics education, including differentiation of teaching and learning in mathematics and the usage of ICT technologies in teaching mathematics.
Christina Symeonidou
Christina Symeonidou is a Math Teacher with 15years experience in secondary education. Graduated from Mathematical school in Athens University in 2001, she continued her studies in the University of Cyprus where she got Master’s in Statistics. In parallel with her Master’s studies, she has worked as a postgraduate associate for the Pedagogical Department. During the 15years as a teacher in Secondary Education, she undertook several projects regarding student’s learning and welfare, and being coordinator in many Erasmus Projects, where she had the opportunity to meet, cooperate with teachers from other European countries, and exchange ideas regarding teaching methods. During the last year, she undertaken administrative position in the Private Sector Office at the Ministry of Education where she being responsible for coordinating, evaluating and authorising operational issues in private schools all over Cyprus
Prof. Maria Meletiou-Mavrotheri
Prof. Maria Meletiou-Mavrotheris is a Professor at the European University Cyprus (EUC), Director of the ICT Enhanced Education Research Laboratory, and Head of Education and Training Services at the Center of Excellence in Innovation and Technology. She has a Ph.D. in Mathematics Education (University of Texas at Austin), an M.Sc. in Statistics (University of Texas at Austin), an M.Sc. in Engineering (University of Texas at Austin), an M.A. in Open and Distance Learning (UK Open University), a B. A. in Mathematics (University of Texas at Austin), and Teacher’s Certification in Primary Education. She has engaged extensively in research and has established a respected research record through numerous publications in scholarly international journals and books, and repeated invitations to participate in international conferences. Indicative EU-funded programs in which she has participated in the capacity of coordinator or research collaborator, include H2020, Erasmus+, LLP-Grundtvig, Socrates Minerva and Comenius, Leonardo da Vinci, Tempus, and Eureka. All of these multinational programs focus on technology-enabled STEAM education, specifically on the use of serious games and other technological tools in STEAM teaching and learning at the school and higher education level, and in vocational training. Dr. Meletiou-Mavrotheris’ past research activity includes the coordination of the EU-funded projects EarlyStatistics: Enhancing the Teaching and Learning of Early Statistical Reasoning in European Schools, SMASH: Helping Parents to Help their Children Excel in Math and Science, and Living Book – Augmenting Reading For Life.
Dr Christina Papasolomontos
Dr Christina Papasolomontos is the Head of the Department of Educational Documentation at the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute where she has been working since 2000. She holds an M.Ed in Educational Studies (University of Manchester, UK), M.Sc. in Educational Research (University of Manchester, UK) and Ph.D in Developmental Psychology (University of Manchester, UK). She has worked as a research associate at the Centre for Formative and Assessment Studies (CFAS), School of Education, University of Manchester (1998 – 2000), as a visiting Lecturer at the Cyprus University of Technology and at the Cyprus College/European University teaching Research Methods and Statistical and Qualitative Data Analysis. As of 2005, she is a member of the Scientific Committee for the European Social Survey (ESS) in Cyprus. She carried out projects funded from the Cyprus Research Foundation Institute and the European Commission. She was one of the two coordinators of the project “Measures for Improving Social and Educational Integration of Children coming from third world” funded by the European Funds
Prof. Marios Vryonidis
Marios Vryonides is Professor of Sociology, Sociology of Education and Research Methods and Dean of the School of Humanities, Social and Education Sciences. He served as National Coordinator of Cyprus in the European Social Survey (European Social Survey) from 2007-2013 and 2017-2019 and represents Cyprus in the Τhematic Committee for the social changes of Horizon 2020 of the European Union. This period he coordinates the program ESOI (European Safe Online Initiative) funded by the EU. In the past he coordinated programs such as: (a) ELMIP (Learning Models in Empowering Prison), (b) PEBBL BAsic Education and SKills Training in Prisons (2013-2015), (c) FREE (Fundamental Rights Education) (European Commission funded program) and (d) “Children’s voices: exploring the interethnic violence in school environment” (2011 – 2012). These programs are practical applications of educational research, a discipline that he teaches in higher education in the past 16 years. He is the President of the Research Committee on Sociology of Education of the International Sociological Association (2018-2022). His research interests lie in contemporary sociological theory with applications in education, in qualitative and quantitative research methods, theories of cultural and social capital and the sociological dimensions of New Forms of Education.
Ass. Prof. Tasos Anastasiadis
Tasos Anastasiades is an Assistant Professor at the European University Cyprus. In 2004, he started publishing “Plastic Comics”, the first comic book series created in Cyprus. In 2014, he illustrated the graphic novel titled ‘Fascista’ and became a publishing partner and contributing artist at the first Cypriot comic book anthology titled “Current”.Tasos has been involved in numerous cultural events and in 2017, he was selected by the Cyprus Embassy in Romania and the Cyprus Ministry of Education and Culture to represent his country at the 5th European Comics Festival organized by the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC). His latest project is the creation of the graphic novel titled ‘The Traveller’ which was done in collaboration with Neil Gibson, publisher of T-Pub comics in London and editor of Stan Lee’s last comic ‘The Luckman’.
Dr Angelos Sofianidis
Dr Angelos Sofianidis is a Research Collaborator at the Department of Education at European University Cyprus, an Adjunct Faculty Member of the Department of Early Childhood Education at the University of Western Macedonia (Greece) and Adjunct Faculty Member of the Educational Department at the University of Nicosia (Cyprus). He owns a PhD in Science Education (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki), a Master in Education (Didactics of Chemistry and New Educational Technologies, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) and a BSc in Physics (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki). He has participated in professional development programmes regarding Special Education and Intercultural Education (University of Aegean). His research interests focus on the promotion and use of collaborative approaches in Science or STEAM Education (Early years, Primary and Secondary Education), on the use of immersive technologies in Science or STEAM Education, and students’ inclusion in Science or STEAM Education with respect to their diverse needs and teachers’ professional development on the abovementioned areas. He works in European-funded projects focusing on the knowledge assessment and inclusion of migrant students on Science and Math education (Augmented Assessment), immersive technologies and game-based learning in STEAM education (ImTech4Ed), the promotion of STEM skills in disadvantaged women in order to foster their start-up entrepreneurship (FA-ST) and on students’ skills development on Open Science (ENREAC-HEI).
Dr Nayia Stylianidou
Dr. Nayia Stylianidou is a Scientific Collaborator at the Department of Education, European University Cyprus. She holds a PhD in the area of Inclusive Education (European University Cyprus), MA in Special Needs (University of Nottingham) and a BA in History and Archaeology (Aristotle University of Thessaloniki). Her research interests focus on Inclusive Education, Disability Studies, Disability Studies in Education, Universal Design for Learning, Blended Learning, Augmented Reality, Alternate Reality Games, Teachers’ professional development, Media Literacy. She has participated in projects involving teachers, and students from disadvantaged backgrounds with regards to education, digital technologies and immersive technologies (eg. Living Book: Augmenting Reading for Life). Currently, she is participating in projects related to blended learning and inclusive education (BLENDI – Blended learning for inclusion), to media literacy (European Media Coach Initiative, European Safe Online Initiative) and to a project focusing on effective strategies and tools to promote love for reading among young people (ReadTwinning-Connecting students through shared interests to develop a love for reading).
Dr Andreas Ο. Kyriakides
Dr Andreas O. Kyriakides is a primary school teacher and a scientific collaborator at the Department of Educational Studies of European University Cyprus. Having got his BA in Elementary Education (University of Cyprus), he earned a Fulbright scholarship to study at the USA. He obtained an MA in Curriculum and Teaching (Michigan State University, USA), and then a PhD in Mathematics Education (The Open University, UK). In the field of Teacher Education, he has taught various undergraduate and postgraduate mathematics education courses both in the USA and in Cyprus. He is interested not only in training prospective and in-service teachers to acquire the mathematics knowledge base but also in sharpening their sensitivity to the complexities of learning and directing their attention to practices and constructs which can inform preferences when teaching mathematics. His research is committed to understanding and acting upon issues evolving within the classroom context. Particularly, a great part of his work deals with the design of theory- and technology-based classroom interventions to help address students’ learning difficulties and support the development of mathematical understanding. His research projects involve a diverse group of participants, from kindergarteners to university students, teachers and paraprofessionals working in schools.
Davinia Hernández-Leo
Davinia Hernández-Leo is Full Professor at the Department of Information and Communications Technologies Department (DTIC) at UPF, the head of the Interactive and Distributed Technologies for Education group (TIDE) and Commissioner for Research in Educationa Innovation at UPF. She obtained a degree and a Ph.D, in Telecommunication Engineering at University of Valladolid, Spain, and has been visiting researcher at Open University of the Netherlands, Fulbright Scholar at Virginia Tech and visiting academic at the University of Sydney. She has published extensively and received several awards, including best paper awards and the European award for excellence in the field of CSCL technology. She has also received Teaching Awards (Vicens Vives) and the ICREA Academia Award from the Catalan Government in 2019.
Prof. Hernández-Leo has been Vice-President of the European Association for Technology-Enhanced Learning, a Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions of Learning Technologies, and is currently an elected member of the CSCL Committee within the International Society of the Learning Sciences and member of the Steering Committee of the European Conference on Technology-Enhanced Learning. She is very active in research supervision (PhD students, visitors, etc.), in participation and lead of European and national projects, and in collaborations with companies, non-profit organizations, policy makers and private foundations.
Her research activity is broadly centered on the domain of learning technologies, spanning fields such as learning design technology, computer-supported collaborative learning (CSCL), community platforms, learning analytics, and architectures and devices for learning. Currently, she is looking into the interplay of learning design with data analytics, with an emphasis in the domain of CSCL.
